Wilma Rudolph, born at Tennessee, from a poor family.
She got pneumonia disease and high fever resulting in paralysis due of polio. She had to use a crutch to be able to walk, and doctors turn off his enthusiasm by saying that his leg would never be able to step on the ground, but she was lucky to have a mother who is so excited and motivated her that she would be able to carry out whatever she wanted.
"I will become the fastest woman on the running track". Her determination so steely, she threw her stick with patience and confidence she began learning to walk, breaking the advice of a doctor who sentenced her before. At the age of 13, she started to follow the race for the first time. At the age 15, she went to Tennessee State University, where she met with her coach Ed Temple, She said "I wanted to run and become the fastest in the world, "With your spirit, there will be nothing to stop you, I'll help you" Ed was so amazed by Wilma spirit
The day has come, she followed the Olympics, where she met a woman, Jutta Heine who was a sprinter and unbeaten in 100m track, but instead of break her spirit, it become a motivation for her. "I will prove myself to the world, I can win this race"
She got her first gold medal in the 100m track. At 200m track, again she beat Jutta Heine and got her second gold medal. When it come for 400m, relay race, as the fastest runner, she was placed on the last lap, when come to her turn, she dropped her baton, she saw Jutta on another track has been moving far ahead but with passion, she picked up her baton and ran as fast as she could and she was able to beat Jutta for the third time and she Become the fastest woman - olympic 1960
